The mountain town of Ward in Boulder County has received a new fire truck this summer with funds raised by Wright Kingdom Real Estate for wildfire relief efforts.
Last year, after devastating wildfires spread across Colorado and many surrounding states, Wright Kingdom Real Estate and its associates decided to give back to their local communities by raising money for wildfire relief. Wright Kingdom and its associates launched a Facebook campaign promising a $50 contribution to The Community Foundation of Boulder County for every “Like” or Share” of their Facebook Wildfire Relief photo, up to $25,000. The campaign quickly went viral and Wright Kingdom met its goal in less than eight hours.
“Our goal with the Facebook campaign was to raise awareness about communities affected by the wildfires. We had an overwhelmingly positive response and are very appreciative to everyone who participated,” said Lew Kingdom, managing broker of Wright Kingdom Real Estate. Wright Kingdom and its associates decided to launch the campaign after last year’s cancellation of Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast Fourth of July celebration due to the high fire danger. A proud sponsor of the annual fireworks display since 2001, Wright Kingdom and its associates budget and make cash contributions for this event every year. Wright Kingdom is proud to announce that funds raised in last year’s successful wildfire relief campaign have enabled the Indian Peaks Fire Protection District to make the down payment on a much-needed new fire truck for the town of Ward in Boulder County.
