WK Real Estate proudly partners with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® - a network of 565 of the most exceptional, independent real estate companies spanning 6 continents. This week in RISMedia, two WK agents, Lydia Moy & Judy Scott, discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the real estate market and how LeadingRE aids in our success.
COVID-19 changed many of our daily routines. From being in an office and commuting daily, to working remotely or needing to be closer to loved ones to avoid traveling as much, COVID impacted just about everyone in some way. These changes included big life decisions, such as where and how to live. According to Lydia, one of the most significant factors for young professionals to move was moving to a more affordable area that allowed them more freedom.
"Ironically, the pandemic has created freedom and opportunity, enabling homeowners to grow their real estate assets by moving to a more affordable area to live their best lives."

Family was also one of the most significant factors for relocating, Judy Scott explains. After helping a client relocate to Texas with their daughter, they wanted to be within walking distance from each other’s houses. The only problem, the price ranges for the mother and daughter, were very different.Judy was able to solve this problem by working with another LeadingRE member, so she could find them precisely what they wanted.
"By working with a fellow member in LeadingRE, Scott was able to find the mother & daughter homes within walking distance. The best part of the story is that after they both moved to their new homes, they soon found out their first grandchild was on the way."

Lydia, Judy, and all our WK agents have shown true strength of character throughout the pandemic as they assisted clients through many unexpected twists and turns in the real estate market.Their hard work and dedication to their clients through such a challenging time is admirable. We are excited and hopeful for a great year in 2021!
