Colorado weather has been perfect lately, so it's a no brainer that people want to be spending as much time as possible outside before the days get shorter. One way to spend time outdoors is hiking on the many trails Boulder has to offer. We've gathered a list of some of the prettiest hikes around Boulder.

Royal Arch Trail
Located at the Chautauqua Trail head, this 4 mile hike is filled with beautiful wildflowers, steep inclines, and stunning views. This difficult trail is heavily trafficked and recommended by many to start during the morning to avoid the crowds. Dogs are allowed on the trail as long as they are leashed or have the Boulder Voice and Sight tag.
First and Second Flatirons Hike
This hike is an absolute must for those who haven't hiked around Boulder before! It is a 2.6 mile round trip- which should take about 2 hours and is perfect for intermediate hikers. Dogs are allowed on the trail as long as they are leased or have the Boulder Voice and Sight tag.
Mount Sanitas
This moderate hike is the real deal leading you through an elevation change of more than 1,300 ft. It offers plentiful views of Boulder and a panoramic view of Indian Peaks. The Mount Sanitas trail should take you roughly 2 hours. Dogs are allowed on this trail as long as they are leashed or have the Boulder Voice and Sight tag, just not the Lion's Lair portion.
Bear Peak Summit Hike
This trail is longer than the others at 7.4 miles round trip or 8.4 miles for the loopo and should take roughly 3-5 hours to complete. It's located along the Flatirons and is geared more for expert hikers. There are plenty of views from the South Mesa meadows to 360 degree views of the Front Range once you reach the top. Dogs are allowed on this trail as long as they are leashed.
Flatirons Vista
This is another must hike in Boulder. Located at the south of town, the Flatirons Vista hike offers stunning views of the Flatirons at a distance. This 3.5 mile trail is easy, making it perfect for families. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed or have the Boulder Voice and Sight tag.
Rattlesnake Gulch
Located in Eldorado Canyon State Park, this moderate 3.6 mile trail will lead you past spectacular views of the canyon and the eastern plains. You'll also pass the remains of the historic Crags Hotel. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed.
Enchanted Mesa McClintock Trail Loop
This 1.8 mile long trail is located near Chautauqua Park and has breathtaking views of the Flatirons. Be on the lookout for fuzzy creatures and singing birds.
South Arapahoe Peak Trail
The South Arapahoe Peak trail is located west of Boulder in the Roosevelt National Forest. There are several views of alpine meadows, wildlife, rocky alpine vistas, and more! This 8.6 mile hike is perfect for intermediate/ expert hikers. Dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed.
