- Boulder Farmers Market - 13th St, Boulder, CO 80302
Boulder County's flagship market, the Boulder Farmers Market has been a community staple for more than 40 years. The market attracts growers and producers from all over the region, providing a phenomenal selection of everything that's fresh and in season. Located right in the heart of downtown Boulder, this sprawling market takes place on Saturdays from April through November, with additional dates on Wednesday afternoons from May through October.
- Longmont Farmers Market - 9595 Nelson Rd, Longmont, CO 80501
Operated by Boulder County in conjunction with the Boulder Farmers Market, the weekly Longmont Farmers Market offers a similarly broad array of vendors. Seasonal veggies, fresh meat, and local dairy products are available here from April through November, every Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. This is a growers-only market, so you can be certain that anything you purchase here was made locally and sold by the same farmers who produced it right here in Longmont. The Longmont Farmers Market is held at the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
- Louisville Farmers Market - 824 Front St, Louisville, CO 80027
The weekly Louisville Farmers Market is another great option if you're looking for local, Colorado-grown fruits, vegetables, and other farm goods. Jams, preserves, salsas, honey, eggs, cheese, and baked goods are market staples as well. The Louisville Farmers Market takes place from 9 am to 1 pm every Saturday from mid-May through mid-October along Front Street in downtown Louisville.
- Nederland Farmers Market - 80 E 2nd St, Nederland, CO 80466
The town of Nederland hosts its own farmers market, about 25 minutes west of Boulder in the Rocky Mountain foothills. The charming Nederland Farmers Market is held every other Sunday from May through early October. In addition to a traditional market with vendors, the Nederland Farmers Market includes farm share boxes packed with produce from local farms. Farm share boxes can be ordered in advance at the start of the season.
- Sunbeam Farm - 1005 Cherryvale Rd, Boulder, CO 80303
A small, locally owned farm that was established in 2013, Sunbeam Farm has a mission to produce local vegetables and meat using sustainable farming practices. Fresh eggs and seasonal fruits and vegetables are available throughout the growing season at their roadside farm stand. Sunbeam Farm also holds several events and festivities every year, including farm-to-table dinners.
- Thomas Open Space Farm Project - 1640 Baseline Rd, Lafayette, CO 80026
A grassroots community farm project east of Boulder in Lafayette, the Thomas Open Space Farm Program is a great resource for finding fresh, local produce. The property is owned by the city and operated by Red Wagon Farm, which brings 20-plus years of sustainable farming experience. The on-site farm stand is open seasonally and is expected to open in July for the 2024 season. The Thomas Open Space Farm Project also includes a Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) farm share program.
