Fortunately, the start of fall comes with some great events around Longmont, including a variety of Oktoberfest celebrations that offer something for every taste. These include events at popular local breweries, as well as events organized by the community. - Left Hand Oktoberfest – 1245 Boston Ave., Longmont, CO 80501
With a variety of kid-friendly activities and competitions added to the event, the popular Left Hand Oktoberfest is back once again on September 27 & 28, 2024. The fun starts on Friday evening with shows from Card Catalog and Ronnie Raygun & The Big 80s before a full day of activities on Saturday. In addition to live music all day long, Saturday features the Kids Sack Races & Stein Holding contests, a brat-eating contest for the adults, an artisan market, and a fun costume contest just before the last concert of the evening. Kids under 13 years of age get into the event for free, and there are discounts for adults if you purchase tickets for both days.
- Longmont Humane Society Oktoberfest – 600 Collyer St., Longmont, CO 80501
An Oktoberfest celebration that also raises money for a great cause, the Longmont Humane Society Oktoberfest is a family-friendly (and pet-friendly!) celebration for all ages at Collyer Park. There will be plenty of food, music, and beer to be enjoyed throughout the event, as well as fun Oktoberfest-themed activities. The event takes place on September 21, 2024, and tickets are available online.
Proceeds go toward supporting the good work done by the Longmont Humane Society, and dog owners will certainly want to check out the special Paw Partners section of the event. This is where you'll find a variety of vendors offering great items for dogs, as well as fun, dog-friendly activities for your pup. And if you're feeling warm, just head for the Hot Dog Lounge, where you'll find a cool space with plenty of water and treats.
- Oktoberfest 5K at Wibby Brewing – 209 Emery St., Longmont, CO 80501
Oktoberfest is often a time to indulge, but that doesn't mean that you can't find time for a good run before the festivities kick off later in the day. The Oktoberfest 5K at Wibby Brewing starts with a 5K run and continues with one big Oktoberfest celebration. The 5K is meant to be a fun, relaxed run, with live music, good food, and cold drinks waiting for you at the finish line. Look forward to this event on September 15, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM.
- Denver Oktoberfest – Downtown Denver, CO
Is your Oktoberfest not complete until you've found the biggest party in Colorado? Then Denver Oktoberfest is well worth the drive into downtown Denver. This event is so big that it's spread over two weekends. Whether you attend Weekend One (September 20-22, 2024) or Weekend Two (September 27-29, 2024), you'll be treated to a packed weekend of activities in the Ballpark District. In addition to all of the Oktoberfest standards, this event features fun competitions like stein hoisting and keg bowling. Denver Oktoberfest has been a local favorite since 1969 and only seems to grow larger every year.
