What a rewarding way to spend a morning during the holidays! In lieu of their regular monthly breakfast meeting with a program/speaker, the Interagency Network of Boulder met at The Carillon in Boulder on Wednesday, December 17th to put together 150 holiday baskets for Boulder area low income seniors. The baskets included hand-knit scarves, fresh fruit, Chocolove chocolates, Udi's bread, and other holiday gifts and necessities. They were hand delivered by Interagency members that day.
I had the pleasure of participating in this amazing volunteer activity. The group meets monthly to share resources, network, and collaborate on projects and new programs for our Boulder area seniors. We forget living in Boulder that there are people in our community struggling, and the holidays can hit seniors especially hard. I am very proud to have been part of this wonderful group effort!
