It’s tough moving to a new area. But relocating to Boulder County is easy when you know how to get connected to all the happening activities to choose from. Here are some top things to do in Boulder County to feel right at home!
Take your pooch on a date
An excellent resource for everything dog-related, including links to dog parks in Boulder, Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, Lyons, and Broomfield, is BringFido.com. This helpful map shows where dogs are and aren’t allowed in Boulder County’s Open Space Park areas. If your dog’s obedience skills rival Lassie’s AND you are an expert at reading complicated maps, you might like to visit the City of Boulder’s Voice and Sight Tag Program’s website to see if you want to register to let your dog roam off-leash in designated Open Space areas.
Join the organic movement
The Colorado Dept. of Agriculture produces a comprehensive list of Farmer’s Market locations organized by day of the week. You will never be bored again! If you’d rather have the produce come to you, join a CSA group – Community Supported Agriculture. According to the CO Dept. of Ag website, “A CSA is a relationship between farmers and community members who pay annual membership fees to help cover the production costs of the farms. In return for being a member, individuals and families receive a weekly "share" of the farm's production during the growing season.” Since some CSA’s deliver to your home, you can get your organics while you’re still in your jammies!
Get in tune with the music scene
