This week is Firefighter Appreciation Week (September 8th through the 15th ) ending with the Fight Fire and Beer Festival at the Twenty Ninth Street Mall.
Fire crews have been busy this summer with blazes raging across Colorado. Now it is our turn to show our support for their incredible dedication to keeping us safe. During this week restaurants and bars in Colorado will be asked to add their names to the Firefighter Appreciation Honor Roll by supporting Colorado Fire Departments through a variety of promotions designed to raise funds for them.
The Beer Festival will be held on Saturday the 15th, from 12pm-10pm, featuring the Fight Fire with Beer Governor’s Cup. The Governor’s Cup will be judged by Governor John Hickenlooper and Colorado Fire Chiefs. Breweries will summit their best beers to be judged. The winning brewery will have the privilege of creating the official Fight Fire with Beer. This beer will be featured in bars and restaurants and will be available for retail the entire calendar year.
There will also be music and food, plus fire trucks for the kids to see, and firefighters from around the state. Come show your support!!!
