Breckenridge has the largest historic district in the state, with 300 historic structures. Parts of Dumb and Dumber were filmed in Breckenridge. Their arrival in "Aspen" actually took place on Main Street in Breckenridge. It has a higher altitude than Aspen meaning it was more likely to be snow-covered in late spring, when filming occurred.
