WalletHub evaluated all 50 states and the District of Columbia for how well they’ve kept the pandemic in check. Colorado placed #4 in the nation based on five key metrics: rate of transmission, rate of positive tests, hospitalizations, deaths, and percentage of the eligible population getting vaccinated. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the safest conditions.
