BOLDERBoulder Checklist!
The BolderBoulder is world-famous for bringing 10K enthusiasts from all over to run or walk in an atmosphere that is fun and energetic with stunning scenery. Named America’s All-Time Best 10K by Runner’s World, the BolderBoulder is back this year on May 29th, 2023.
Whether you're new to the area or just looking to play ahead, you may find these hints helpful.
Know Where to Park!
Parking in Boulder can be challenging; and finding parking during the BolderBoulder even more so. Due to the race, many streets are blocked and parking locations are altered. The official BolderBoulder course map shows all the roads you can drive on and the places to park. Very useful info!
What To Do After the Race.
First, you must congratulate yourself for finishing one of the most popular races in the world! Even if you didn’t set any record breaking times, participating and finishing is huge. So make sure to give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
If you’re not too exhausted after the race, you don’t want to miss attending the RaceDayEXPO across the street from the finish area to get your free swag from BolderBoulder sponsors and EXPO exhibitors. Don't forget to vote for your favorite lawn for the Legends of the Lawn contest sponsored by WK Real Estate before heading back to the stadium to enjoy the Memorial Day festivities.
In the afternoon, plan to stroll through the Boulder Creek Festival, west of 14th Street between Arapahoe and Canyon. Having been a Memorial Day tradition for over 25 years, the Boulder Creek Festival “showcases everything from community arts and crafts to health alternatives and technology” and also features entertainment on four stages.
If you think you’ll be too tired after the race, you can plan to attend ahead of time, either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, as the Festival runs all weekend.
Know Where to Shop.
If you make it into Boulder a few days before the BolderBoulder or decide to stay longer, you don’t want to miss visiting Pearl Street Mall.
Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Boulder, it’s lined with historic buildings housing every kind of shop imaginable. You can buy a kite or an alpaca sweater or an ice cream cone. In the mood to browse décor handmade by local artisans? How about unique shoes or kitchen gadgets? Pearl Street Mall has it all!
