Boulder County to Host New AI Data Center, Bringing High-Tech Jobs by 2026
Artificial intelligence is becoming an everyday part of our lives—powering search engines, voice assistants, medical diagnostics, and more. But behind every AI breakthrough is a network of data centers providing the computing power needed to process massive volumes of information.
A Biden-era federal plan, now being carried forward by the Trump administration, is set to supercharge AI infrastructure by building AI-focused data centers at 16 federal sites nationwide. One of those sites will be right here in our community: the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) near Boulder.
