3 Ways to Use the 2019 Color of the Year in Your Home

Pantone just announced their 2019 color of the year: Living Coral. This bold, eye-catching color is certain to be showing up in every area of 2019, and most certainly, interior design. Incorporating this lively, modern color into your home is easy: here are three ways to add this splash of color and energy to your home.

1. Accent Your Living Room with Pillows or Throw Blanket

Adding some colorful pillows to your living room is a simple and easy way to spruce up the look and feel of your living room. Consider finding a textured fabric or something that will also add another dimension to your couch and chairs. For a more budget-friendly option, purchase or create DIY pillow covers and cover an existing pillow.

2. Paint a Statement Wall

Choose a medium-sized, interior wall of your home to paint with the Living Coral. If your home is already neutral colors, having one statement wall can add lots of personality to a room. Make sure to tie in the color by adding a complimentary piece in another location in the room, such as a piece of furniture, artwork, or another item on this list.

3. Add an Area Rug to the Space

As simple as laying down a rug, adding a simple area rug to a room can add warmth and give the room a softer, cozier feel. If your room is already busy, consider a plainer rug. If the room can handle more, consider a visually appealing design or a highly textured rug to spice it up.
