‘Tis the season for gifts...and lots of stuff! Each year, American households throw away 25% more trash than any other time of the year between Thanksgiving and New Year's. This extra waste amounts to 25 million tons of garbage, or effectively 1 million extra tons per week!
You can do your part to reduce waste by donating and recycling your unwanted items this year. There are tons of programs that would love to receive your stuff and put it into the hands of someone who will consider it a treasure. And, if you don’t have items to donate, many of these services will gladly accept a donation of your time and caring energy.
