This year, the Boulder & Denver area are lining up lots of activities and events for you to check out. See each item below to find one for your celebrations in November & December. Come back to this list every week to see which events you want to add into your calendar!
NOVEMBER
November, 2021 - January, 2022 | Boulder
Thousands of twinkling lights will illuminate Boulder's Civic Area and downtown Boulder. Visit creative, themed displays, with a map to guide you.
November 4-7 | Boulder
In-person events will include the annual Alumni Awards ceremony, Spirit Days on the Quad, Buffs on Tap, the 50-Year Reunion for the class of 1971 and the Ralphie’s Corral tailgate.
November 5 | Denver
Colorado Country Christmas Gift Show is a great way to get into the holiday spirit with the whole family. The three-day fair held at Denver Mart (Colorado Convention Center in Denver: 700 14th St.) features 450 booths showcasing art, unique gifts, and specialty foods.
November 6 | Boulder
Pine Cone creations lend a natural beauty to your holiday decorating. The options are unlimited. We will learn about using pinecones to create beautiful decorative items such as wreaths, candleholders and centerpieces.
November 11 | Boulder
The Boulder Chamber is kicking off the holiday season and the lighting of the Boulder Star on Flagstaff Mountain on November 11th. Join us for this beloved holiday tradition.
November 11 - December 23 | Golden
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride returns to the Colorado Railroad Museum from mid-November through December 23! You’ll enjoy plenty of Holiday Magic, with Holiday Caroling and the “Hot Chocolate” song and dance being performed in our all-new, heated Polar Express Pavilion. A ride to the North Pole aboard vintage coaches, pulled by an authentic, coal-fired steam locomotive, tops off the experience!

Recapture the holiday magic with White Christmas at BDT this holiday season! This smash Broadway musical based on the Irving Berlin film starring Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby will definitely make your holidays merry and bright.

Come experience Christmas like never before! Drive through millions of lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music you’ll hear right through your radio. Drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways and more.

The 34th Annual Holiday Food & Gift Festival returns to Denver on November 19-21 at the National Western Complex.
November 19 - January 8 | Denver
The Gardens’ signature event for over three decades, this annual holiday lights extravaganza transforms our York Street location into a twinkling winter wonderland. Join us for this family-friendly event that has become a holiday tradition for thousands of Front Range families.
November 19 - January 1 | Denver
Step inside this brilliantly lit, 110-foot-tall immersive art installation. Create a new family tradition and join in the free nightly festivities at Denver’s latest holiday attraction, which returns after making its debut last year. The Mile High Tree puts on a dazzling music and lights show. It's the largest installation of its kind in North America.
November 20 | Denver
The groundbreaking prog rock symphony orchestra are celebrating 25 years since the release of their very first album, and giving it a big makeover to ensure that it's every bit as exciting, seasonal, and fun as it was when it debuted back in 1996. Filled with Christmas classics, TSO originals, and unique medley arrangements, "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" is a delight for long-time fans and newcomers alike, and one that'll really get you into the spirit of the season.

'Tis the season! Get in the Holiday spirit and create your own fused glass Holiday Tree and Wreath.
November 20 | Longmont - Good Life Refuge
Get your holiday cooking all squared away with this cooking class held by plant-based chef and health coach Sarah Eastin.
November 20 | Broomfield
Broomfield's craft fair of the holidays, will be held at the NEW Broomfield Community Center located at 280 Spader Way. The annual Jingle Bell Market Craft Fair features five rooms filled with local crafters from Colorado. You will find something special for everyone on your list!
November 20 & 21 | Longmont (Boulder County Fairgrounds)
Mollie McGee’s Market is two, 2-day shows held at Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, Colorado featuring only the highest quality handcrafted items as well as a selection of unique items not found in most malls. We are proud to be Colorado's finest (and friendliest) juried craft show boasting over 160 booths at each show!
November 21 | Boulder
Come see the lighting of downtown in holiday lights and an appearance by Santa Claus, too. Yearly holiday sing-along performance led by the Boulder Children's Chorale joined by members of the Boulder Chorale lead up to the grand illumination of the Boulder County Courthouse and the Pearl Street Mall, with a special appearance by Santa himself! Then stick around for FREE visits with Santa!
November 22 | Boulder
WK Real Estate will be participating in the Share-A-Gift event this season. We are a proud partner of such a worthy cause! Since 1972, Share-A-Gift’s Toys for Tots has provided toys, bikes and books for children of low-income families in the area.

The most beloved holiday tradition of them all is returning to the Mile High City this November. The Colorado Ballet's home-grown production is the most acclaimed staging in the Rocky Mountains region, and this is your chance to experience it live at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House this holiday season.

Come have some fun and get ready for the holidays with some nature-themed crafts! Participants can create their own gift wrap, ornaments, and other crafts

Hailing from a small town off the coast of Northern Ireland, Rend Collective (Gareth Gilkeson, Chris Llewellyn, Ali Gilkeson, Patrick Thompson and Stephen Mitchell) wants to be known as a celebration band, worshipping for God’s Glory and fame.
December 3 | Louisville
Held on the first Friday in December from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm, this Louisville holiday tradition has been a favorite for over thirty years! The festivities begin with musical entertainment provided by local schools and churches, a living nativity, and visits with Santa. The main attraction, the Parade of Lights, starts at 7:00pm. This all takes place in Historic Downtown Louisville on Main Street. All floats and entries must have lights.
December 3 - December 5 | Boulder
Delight in the twinkling lights, seasonal greenery and beautiful music at CU Boulder’s Holiday Festival, an annual tradition that’s enchanting for all ages. The decades-old celebration brings together student choirs, bands and orchestras—along with world-class faculty performers—for a concert of holiday favorites and new surprises.
December 4 | Boulder
Join the singers and orchestra of the Boulder Chamber Chorale, Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra, and vocal soloists in resuming a beloved holiday tradition, George F. Handel’s Messiah, Part 1, Christmas plus Hallelujah Chorus. The concert will be one hour without intermission and features many of our favorite moments from the oratorio.

The Longmont Museum's holiday tradition is back in person! Join us for songs of the season and holiday cheer from some of the finest musicians and performers in the region, including the Rocky Mountain Ringers, the Boulder Klezmer Consort, and Hazel Miller and the Collective.

Delight in the twinkling lights, seasonal greenery and beautiful music at CU Boulder’s Holiday Festival, an annual tradition that’s enchanting for all ages. The decades-old celebration brings together student choirs, bands and orchestras—along with world-class faculty performers—for a concert of holiday favorites and new surprises.
December 10, 11, 12 | Boulder - Chautauqua
After a toned-down event in 2020, we are back big with the third year of our wildly popular WinterFest! Highlights include: Festival of Lights, Kids Concert with Jeff and Paige, Breakfast with Santa, Santa’s Cottage, Horse-drawn Carriage Rides, Historic Cottage Tour, History Tours, Public Art Exhibit, WinterFest Market, Scavenger Hunt, Photo Station.
Rocks & Rails Show
December 10 | Longmont
The Rocks & Rails Mineral, Gem, and Model Train Show/Expo. Vendors will display their collections of gems and handcrafted jewelry along with model trains and accessories.
December 10 & 11 | Longmont
Roosevelt Park, 700 Longs Peak Ave sparkles with millions of holiday lights! Take a festive stroll around the park to get in the holiday spirit, or lace up your skates and visit the Longmont Ice Pavilion.
December 11 | Boulder
Come and Celebrate! LOCAL Artists, Artisans, Art Making & MORE… Second Saturday is a FREE self-guided tour of artists’ studios and creative businesses in the NoBo Art District. Meet dancers, musicians, painters, sculptors, photographers, designers and other artists along your stroll through the area.

We are excited to announce the Handcrafted Holiday Market’s return! With 30+ local artisans and no admission fee for shoppers, we hope the 2021 market will be our best event yet.

A musical version of the the holiday classic, “A Christmas Carol”. The Jesters has been doing this production every Christmas for over 20 years! Don’t miss this classic. There will be a special performances Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Night!

The warm sounds of the holidays fill the Hall with festive seasonal favorites including ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, narrated live from stage by beloved Denver vocalist Devin DeSantis! This family-friendly evening, conducted by Colorado Symphony Chorus Assistant Conductor Taylor Martin, features traditional Christmas carols, your favorite new winter tunes, and even some newly arranged surprises — all with a chance to sing along to your heart’s content!
