My Office

4875 Pearl E. Circle, Suite 100
Boulder, CO 80301

I arrived in Boulder as a CU student in 1978. 2 college degrees, some ski racing and lots of ultimate frisbee later, I committed to making Boulder my home.  It is here I choose to start my business, raise my family, and live, work and play every single day. It’s a decision that 3 decades later, I still heartedly applaud.  Boulder is a great place, and I am lucky to enjoy the intimacies of knowing, and loving, my hometown so generously.

When I’m not working I can be found outside; running, cycling, climbing or skiing with family and friends.  I also enjoy art, yummy food, and my volunteer work as a mentor for teenage girls.   I have two lovely teenage daughters and an active husband, all of whom keep me on my toes and loving my job and my office.

On a side note, the first part of my life was spent in Portland, Oregon where my father is an architect.  In fact, he is one of the last currently practicing mid century modern designers.  My upbringing was unique in that our family life was centered around architecture and skiing, both things my father is passionate about.  I grew up discussing certain homes for certain people.  These lovely homes were designed by my father for his clients, with their special needs and desires intimately addressed.  In my home it was never considered that you would go out and buy a home.  You would, of course, hire an architect and build your custom home on a desired site.  While this is great in theory, and something I was predisposed to believe until I began buying and selling real estate myself, I am happy to report that I have proven time and again that you can indeed “go out and buy” a lovely home, one that meets the same needs as a personally designed one and with much less brain damage.  I like to think it’s all in the “hunt”, which I have found to be far more fun and reasonable then the rigors of building for most clients. My childhood was formative, certainly, and although I know a lot about good home design and building, I also very well understand client needs, the stress involved, and ultimately the excitement when making what is for many the biggest and most important purchase of their lives.  I also know a lot about skiing.
