Places to Ice Skate in Denver, Longmont & Louisville

Want to take a couple spins around an ice rink to your favorite tunes? Whether you’re an ice skating newbie or want to bring your own skates to hone your skills, these ice rinks are waiting for you! If you’re feeling competitive, join in the broomball competition at the Downtown Denver rink for a friendly match. Or, if you’re looking to try something totally new, the combination of two of Colorado’s favorite activities is here: snowga, yoga on the ice! Even if you’re not up for an ice activity, there’s always hot cocoa, carriage rides, or special performances to watch. But, if you’re at DIA, there’s no excuse to sit on the bench: rentals and skating is free!


WinterSkate – Louisville

Location: Steinbaugh Pavilion, 824 Front Street, Louisville, CO

Hours: Mon-Weds 2pm-7pm; Thurs 2pm-10pm; Fri 12pm-10pm; Sat 10am-10pm; Sun  10am-8pm. See special holiday hours here.

Admission: Adults $10; Kids 4-12 yrs $8; College Students, Military, and Seniors $8; Kids 3 yrs and under are free.

Historic Downtown Louisville’s ice rink is perfect for the whole family. Open from Thanksgiving week until the end of February, WinterSkate is more than just ice skating: take a free horse-drawn carriage ride, warm up in the warming hut, buy a cup of hot cocoa, and ice skate to holiday tunes! Skate rentals are included with admission price.


DIA Ice Skating Rink – Denver

Location: Denver International Airport, 8500 Peña Blvd, Denver, CO

Hours: 9am-9pm

Admission: FREE

For the third year, the Denver International Airport has free ice skating in the DEN Plaza. From November 23rd, 2018-January 6th, 2019, this rink outside the terminal is perfect for a couple pre-flight rounds of skating, or for anyone who wants to go just to skate! Complimentary skate rentals are available, and on certain days, enjoy special performances and appearances.


The Downtown Denver Rink at Skyline Park – Denver

Location: Skyline Park, 1601 Arapahoe St, Denver, CO

Hours: See hours by month here.

Admission: Admission is free, skate rentals are: Adults (over 13 yrs) $8; Kids (12 & under) $6. Season passes are available for $50 for adults and $35 for kids.

Downtown Denver’s rink is buzzing from November 20th, 2018-February 3rd, 2019. Plus, their special events are sure to please everyone from the music-lover to the competitive spirit. Compete in their broomball competition, try “Snowga” (yoga on ice), or enjoy live or DJ music while you skate on Fridays.


The Longmont Ice Pavilion – Longmont

Location: Roosevelt Park, 725 Eighth Ave, Longmont, CO

Hours: Check out the public skating schedule here.

Admission: For residents: Children (2-5 yrs) $5.50; Youth (6-17 yrs) and Seniors (55+) $6; Adult (18-54 yrs) $6.50. Non-resident pricing here. Skate rentals are an additional $3.50 per person.

Longmont’s seasonal ice rink offers public skating from November 12th, 2018-March 13th, 2019 during select time windows. Check out their drop-in hockey schedule for additional winter fun, or take skating lessons!
