If you’re looking for the best opportunity to explore Longmont’s culture and dining, April 20th-29th, 2018 is your week. During this week, participating restaurants in Longmont will be offering special menus at the price of $18.71. If the price appears random, look again with history in mind: 1871 is the year that the City of Longmont was founded.
Participation is simple: dine at one of the participating venues! You don’t need to register or buy tickets, but it is a good idea to check with the restaurant to find out their exact participation (some restaurants may only participate for breakfast but not dinner, or vice versa). Originating in 1992, Restaurant Week has been taking the country by storm ever since. What started as a New York City tradition has unfolded into a nationally recognized event, inviting restaurants to offer a special menu at a fixed price for either breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all three! Tim Zagat and Joe Baum held the first-ever Restaurant Week during the Democratic National Convention in New York City, and the event became so popular that it is now a four-week ordeal in NYC. Though the idea began as, and still is, a promotional strategy for restaurants, it has been welcomed by customers and travelers as a great way to discovery new experiences.
